Piggyback property tax breaks

Asked the board to vote yes on extending the homestead exemption and owner-occupancy credit, saying the exemption hugely helped her and her husband after paying off their Wickliffe home, and helps many seniors, veterans and disabled people. She also questioned special assessments on her tax bill.

Asked the board to vote no on renewing the piggyback provision, saying the state's new $350 million senior tax relief handles this at the state level and the doubling has hurt her school district and others.
